WHY HIRE PRIMETIME PAINTING FOR YOUR DECK STAINING

COMMITMENT TO DETAIL
We are committed to a job well done and won’t skip vital steps in making your deck have a nice clean surface. If your railings need sanded, we will do it. If your deck needs repaired, we will offer advice on how to fix it before staining over it. We want the finished product to be a quality job you can be proud of.

WE DON’T RUSH
A quality staining job can’t be rushed. Rushing can cause mistakes and lead to problems down the road. A big misconception in painting and staining is that if the sun is shining we can be out working, unfortunately there are many other factors to consider. We will not stain if your deck has been wet from rain and is not completely dry. We won’t stain if the temperature with in 48 hours has been too low. We won’t stain if the wind is blowing hard and risk splatters blowing across your house or your neighbors. We won’t rush your job and risk making mistakes, spilling stain or causing your job not to last as long as possible. We do it right and that is why we stand by our work.

WE HAVE BACK UP
We have a long list of happy clients that can verify our services, quality of work and our professionalism. If you are ever looking for verification, just let us know, we are happy to brag.

THE PROCESS

A DETAILED LOOK AT OUR PROCESS

01.

GETTING READY

We start the staining process by using our crew members to remove any and all materials from your deck. Whether it is your heavy grill, or outdoor patio furniture, our crew members are happy to move your items to a safe location for you so you don’t have to do any heavy lifting.

02.

POWERWASHING

Next we start the cleaning of the deck. We will powerwash your deck to remove all dirt and debris from the area. Customers are often suprised how powerwashing itself can really bring your deck to life. Years of weather and dirt change the color of the wood and powerwashing can revitalize it. Once it is powerwashed we will let it dry completely before starting to stain.

03.

SANDING

Next our crew will evaluate the deck, looking for areas that need attention. We will sand railings and boards that have splintered and frayed leaving the surface smooth and ready for stain.

04.

PROTECTING

Next comes the most important step, our crew will meticulously prep off your home to ensure no stain gets on it. Stain is very thin and can drip very easily, for this reason we cover siding, concrete, plants, ect. with plastic to make sure we aren’t causing any damage.

05.

STAINING

Finally we get to the fun part of staining your deck. Using high quality products, we will stain with one coat of semi-transparent or two coats of a solid stain. We typically do not spray stain. We use brushes so that the stain can be worked into the wood with maximum absorption.

06.

CLEAN UP

After the staining is done and dry, we will come back and clean up after ourselves. We will remove all plastic and tape, return all your items to their original location and leave you with a beautiful deck that is ready to be used.
